What you'll be doing:
At Behst Machinery Corp. we work with vendors to create and procure custom machinery for processors and processing facilities. As an Extenal Sales & Sales Support person, you will be responsible for providing support to both internal suppliers and external clients to increase sales opportunities and maximize customer relationships. You’ll work closely with the leadership and sales teams to review technical documents and sales quotes for accuracy. You’ll play a key part in our sales processes and provide ongoing support to a growing team and organization. We believe in quality, community, collaboration in a fun, and inclusive work environment.
Some of the ways you’ll demonstrate success:
· Build key customer relationships with new and existing clients by presenting new products and services and predicting future needs while devising strategies and action plans to meet those needs.
· Identify business opportunities, generate warm leads, and seek out partnerships by developing a rapport with new clients for business growth
· Handle client objections by clarifying information, emphasizing benefits, and working through differences to a positive conclusion
· Liaise with industry experts to enhance customer relationships pre and post sales
· Provide post-sales support as needed from customers.
· Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s sales management system. Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals and meet targets
· Maintain and log mileage and expense receipts submitted regularly.
· Set sales targets and provide sales support
· Liaise with management to determine organizational strategy and initiatives. Set daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks to achieve goals.
· Attend industry functions and provide feedback/information on emerging trends.
· Attend supplier training online and in person, within and out of country
· Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to increased sales
· Act as the central point of contact for clients and employees alike and generally keep track of employee directories, essential contact information, staff schedules, and the structure of an organization.
· Corresponding professionally both written and verbally with colleagues and external contacts. Maintain confidentiality in client and vendor dealings and files as appropriate
· Providing support to the owners and sales staff on a variety of tasks

· Have strong networking and relationship building skills with an eye for technical data with comprehension.
· Are mechanically inclined.
· Are comfortable reading, explaining and reviewing engineered drawings.
· Possess exceptional communication skills and telephone etiquette
· Are passionate about collaboration and can work with minimal supervision
· Have strong math and negotiation skills
· Experience with time blocking and self-management tools
· Have experience with Google and Microsoft software programs and are comfortable learning new software.
· Are detail oriented and highly organized in a paperless system
· Are a critical thinker with a proactive approach to problem solving
· Results oriented with strategic thinking
· Have experience or interest in the agricultural/industrial industry

What You Need To Know
· Busy seasons run from Mid Oct-Dec and Mid Jan-end of March

· You need to be legally eligible to work in Canada and must have a valid work or study permit.
· You need to provide a valid driver’s license and valid passport to travel outside of the country.
· You must provide your own transportation to client and supplier meetings.
· There will be in-person meetings in Saskatoon or Calgary. The successful applicant must be able to commute to these meetings.
· Your first day will be in the Summer or Fall of 2025.
Job Location
We are hoping to hire someone within the greater Calgary area but will consider all applicants. This role will require working from home as well as weekly in person meetings with clients.
